چکیده

This paper aims at shedding light on the Abbasid historian Isaac ibn Sulaiman Al-Hashemi (Alive 210 A.H/ 825 A.D) and his book History Biography. Based what other historians who copied him, investigates personal traits of Al-Hashemi, significance book, methodology, fields which he was interested in incorporating book. The concludes that adopted chronological annals methodology with special attention to accurate historiography events including recognizing fine details mentioning their causes. He also involved covering official positions those assumed them, listing governors regions, exhibiting family disputes internal commotions, riots among soldiers, as well architecture urban planning city Baghdad. reveals until mid 4th 10th A.D century kept a record Abbasids' stories since start era till rule Caliph Al- Mamun hence assuming this prominent role primary source for first period history.
